Welcome to TV Notes
Ever watched a tv show and wondered how much thought was put into the dialogue, the music, the lighting and so on but didn't have a clue as to what it all meant? If your answer to this question is even remotely close to "yes", then you've come to the right place. TV Notes is a place where popular and/or critically acclaimed shows are analysed and annotated to aid viewers and help them interpret the show at a higher level.
How does it work?
Each tv show listed is annotated episode by episode using either transcripts or the actual scripts available from certain websites. Annotations will take into account several different interpretations of scenes, giving you the best possible understanding of the episodes.
For TV shows that have either been cancelled or have ended, analyses of episodes may refer to future episodes (quite possible including the series finale) that have aired and it's uses of foreshadowing, what each scene means in the bigger picture etc...
For shows currently airing or those that have not been confirmed as either cancelled or renewed, episode analysis will largely refer to that specific episode but may make references to past or future episodes. However, annotations will not speculate on yet-to-air episodes. Therefore it is likely that currently airing shows will not be annotated until the entire season for the year is completed in order to avoid speculative analysis.
(e.g. Veronica Mars pilot analysis may refer to the series finale on more than one occasion whereas Desperate Housewives pilot analysis may refer to future episodes that have aired but will not speculate on yet to air episodes)
Therefore, annotated episodes will most likely contain spoilers and you are advised to read at your own risk.
